To Whom Will You Flee?

To Whom Will You Flee?

There were horrific stories of human trafficking, organ harvesting and sex trade, all in the light of day. The days leading up to a declaration for the need of nothing less than the Armor of God were filled with tears, a mind swirling in a sand storm of hate and self-loathing, a flow of, seemingly, never ending tears.

The enemy prowled as a lion and attacked at will. It felt as if there was no protection, there was no Father to shield the blows and there misery was compounding even though none of it were true. It only existed in the nightmare of the mind and hardened heart. Throwing arms in the air, tear stained eyes towards the ground and begging for relief, begging for the Armor of God to shield the heart, mind and soul from the never ceasing attacks.

The Holy Spirit flooded the room with helmet and breast plate in one hand, belt, boots and sword in the other, He got busy. Out of the fire into the loving arms of the Father.

The house has never been the same. The heart, mind and soul still come under attack, but the fight is not mono on mono. Actually, there is no fight as the enemy has lost, lost forever. The enemy has no place in this house as the heart, mind and soul belongs the King of kings. Tears still flow, but they are more like water on clay to help keep  the body pliable and easier to work. There are constant reminders that the battle is over and He conquered the enemy for a wretch. These reminders are all around, at every turn, every breath and every keystroke. Some of the best reminders will be in a small circle this evening discussing their issues, their struggles and how they are still wandering in the dark. Let the Light shine bright, so they may see the path to get Home.

Isiah 10 NKJV

1 “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees,
Who write misfortune,
Which they have prescribed
2 To rob the needy of justice,
And to take what is right from the poor of My people,
That widows may be their prey,
And that they may rob the fatherless.
3 What will you do in the day of punishment,
And in the desolation which will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help?
And where will you leave your glory?
4 Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners,
And they shall fall among the slain.”
For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.
